Starting Pay: $17.00 per Hour

The Benton Public Housing Authority is seeking a dependable and skilled Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining housing units and grounds to ensure safe, clean, and quality living environments for our residents.

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of maintenance, repair, inspection, and groundskeeping duties for public housing properties. The ideal candidate will have experience in multiple trades and a commitment to providing excellent service to residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs.

· Repair and service appliances, including refrigerators, stoves, and water heaters.

· Complete routine property maintenance, painting, caulking, and minor repairs.

· Maintain HVAC systems and mechanical equipment.

· Conduct groundskeeping duties, including mowing, landscaping, and debris removal.

· Perform move-in, move-out, and annual unit inspections.

· Prepare vacant units for occupancy and ensure compliance with housing quality standards.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance work completed.

· Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.

Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Experience in maintenance, construction, housing programs, or a related field preferred.

· Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

· Ability to work independently and professionally with residents and coworkers.

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
